Citing influences

I would have preferred to have stated this in hidden notation in the article next to where the citation request was posted, but the reason there was no citation for her influences was because in the same paragraph I had already cited the same article. I did not want to overcite an article. Anyhow, in http://www.bluesblastmagazine.com/featured-interview-samantha-fish/, Stevie Ray is listed as an influence in the 5th paragraph, and Keith Urban and Sheryl Crow are listed as early influences in the 10 paragraph. Correcting names misspelled in cited articles

It was pointed out by DrumCounselor and 68.198.38.34 that musicians who played on Black Wind Howlin' had their names misspelled. Skyerise left one correction alone but reverted the other, citing the cited article as reason for maintaining the misspelling. Although Wikipedia is not the place to do original research, it seems disrespectful to living people to misspell their names because the cited article was poorly spell-checked. In this case, I cited Mike Zito's band Royal Southern Brotherhood to try to fit in the correct spellings, but it seems clumsy to cite the band page just to get the spellings corrected, and I expect the citation to be deleted. I suppose the best way to fix the error would be to locate an error-free citation listing the same information, but barring that, is there a good way to correct people's names when misspelled? Blues?

The article lists "blues" and "blues rock". Is that still true? I saw her in concert two days ago, and most of the guitar licks were a little bluesy, but otherwise the songs were nothing close to blues or blues rock. Bubba73 ^{You talkin' to me?} 02:02, 13 April 2022 (UTC)

Well, I get that, but until the sources put her in a new genre, the article should remain as it is. Encyclopedias typically lag real world changes by several years until enough sources reflect that change... Skyerise (talk) 20:42, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
