The subjects stance on same-sex marriage has not been made clear, and news sources given do not state the subject thinks it should be illegal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Timsonly (talkcontribs) 01:54, 20 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
This source specifically and clearly says "He believes abortion and same sex marriage should be illegal." Stop removing referenced material. Justeditingtoday (talk) 02:00, 20 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
The source given is pundits commentary, there are no quotes to indicate the pundit is correct. Timsonly (talk) 02:02, 20 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
I haven't found any sources that give an alternative view, and there are no indications in that news article that it is meant to be commentary or satire. Wikipedia is built using reliable secondary sources such as newspapers, and the CBC is considered a good source. The statement stays unless you can prove it wrong. Change the line: " Oosterhoff is a social conservative, and believes that abortion and same-sex marriage should be illegal."

New Line: "Oosterhoff considers himself to be a "comprehensive conservative" Cite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page). and despite facing questions around his views on same-sex marriage, he has clearly stated he is "absolutely not"[1] a homophobe.

Role/job change

Oosterhoff is no longer the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Education. He is now the Parliamentary Assistant to the minister responsible for “red tape reduction”. Because of how the Ontario government’s directory works, I can’t provide a direct link to what should be his page as the link sometimes fails. Here’s a link to the Minister’s office; scroll down for Oosterhoff. Alternatively, just search employee Oosterhoff at the directory’s main page. Thanks! SpikeToronto 11:14, 1 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
