  • that although Saluche was blacklisted by the Unity Labour Party for his political jokes, the ULP Prime Minister attended his funeral? Source: "With his ribald political jokes, Small had offended a politically over-sensitive U.L.P. pariah government, which declared Small a political opponent who was to be shut out of all government jobs, including those which were created at Carnival time...Funeral was arranged according to S.D.A. rites, replete with a list of speakers that did not include the Prime Minister, who attended the services"[1]
    • ALT1:that Saluche's "Night Rider" radio show inspired the foundation of a community-service organization? Source (misspelled as Knight): "The Knight Riders, a non-profit organization conceptualized by the late Lucien “Saluche” Small, has come to the aid of three elderly members of the group, bringing them some Christmas cheer...The Knight Riders programme is aired on Nice Radio every Thursday at 10:30 p.m."[2] "Saluche was a promoter of other persons' talents. He was, undoubtedly, a mentor to many. His late night radio programme 'Night Riders'...continues even after his death"[3]
    • ALT2:that Saluche observed that the seashore was the best location for a laundry, as one could obtain free Tide, Surf, and Breeze? Source: "There was clean simple stuff, such as the congratulations paid to the good business sense of the owners of the Magic-Clean Laundry erected near to the sea. So they get the following soap powders free: 'Tide, Foam, Surf and Breeze'".[4]

  •   Long enough, new enough. Hooks are sourced. Sources check out; I don't know precisely how high-quality searchlight.vc is (I'm not familiar enough with it) but the information is fairly straightforward factual claims. QPQ not required. Earwig's copyvio detector comes up with only trivial similarities. I like the first hook best. It's a pleasure to review a Vincy nom. Guettarda (talk) 20:26, 11 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Hi, I came by to promote this. Per WP:DYK#Cited hook, each hook fact needs an inline cite in the article. Please cite this sentence: In 2006, the ruling Unity Labour Party blacklisted Saluche from government jobs for telling political jokes at their expense. It's also not clear from the article that the prime minister was from the ULP party (this also would need an inline cite). Thank you, Yoninah (talk) 17:08, 14 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • @Yoninah: The cited source says With his ribald political jokes, Small had offended a politically over-sensitive U.L.P. pariah government, which declared Small a political opponent who was to be shut out of all government jobs, including those which were created at Carnival time, an outcast in his own country. Small had offended a politically over-sensitive U.L.P. pariah government, which declared Small a political opponent who was to be shut out of all government jobs, including those which were created at Carnival time, an outcast in his own country. As far as the Prime Minister goes, Gonsalves has been PM since 2001. "The Prime Minister" can only be him. There's no ambiguity there. Guettarda (talk) 17:49, 14 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • @Guettarda: Sorry, I gave the wrong link. Please read WP:DYK#Eligibility criteria 3. Cited hook – b. Each fact in the hook must be supported in the article by at least one inline citation to a reliable source, appearing no later than the end of the sentence(s) offering that fact. Citations at the end of the paragraph are not sufficient. Yoninah (talk) 17:57, 14 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • @Yoninah: I have moved the citation inline. And the citation in Saluche#Death[5] says Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves, Gonsalves-led Unity labour Party, and Gonsalves, however, noted that when in January 2007 he attended the funeral of comedian and NDP activist, Lucien “Saluche” Small.... Joofjoof (talk) 23:39, 14 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
  •   Thank you. Inline cites all in place. Restoring tick per Guettarda's review. Yoninah (talk) 20:12, 15 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
