• De nombreuses manifestations sportives et culturelles sont organisées tout au long de l'année, en été comme en hiver.

En particulier la fete patronale qui est en principe le premier WE du mois d'aout.

Du Peloux de Saint Romain.

• La famille Du Peloux est titrée nobiliairement de comte de Saint Romain Lachalm. Elle venait à l origine du Vivarais et Saint Romain Lachalm fut apporté en dote par Aymarde de Curnieu fille d une famille forézienne.
• Jean II marié en 1418.
• André, son deuxieme fils, co seigneur de St Romain, marié en 1450 à Catherine d'Allier de la Fressange.
• Gabriel, marié en 1492 à Antoinette de Tremolles.
• Aymard, marié en 1527 à Anne de Saint Quentin.
• Jean, marié en 1553 à Françoise de Fay de la Tour-Maubourg.

La famille se divisa en deux cependant la branche d'Annonay devait s'éteindre au XVIIe siècle. Arriva alors la révolution pendant laquelle le comte Charles du Peloux et son frère furent condamner à mort pour le simple fait d être de noble lignage ils furent finalement gracié grace à de nombreux témoignages affirmant qu ils étaient attachés au principes républicains (ils étaient en effet lafayettistes ). Charles fut ensuite élu maire et son frère cadet Louis juge de paix . Sur 22 mandat de mairie 11 furent détenus par des "du Peloux" ce qui montre leur attachement à cette terre.
