As it is incorrect, I have removed the following paragraph and replaced it with information from another source which explains the fate of the S.S. Storstad:
"To date, whatever happened to the Storstad and her whereabouts are unknown. It is known that the ship became terribly wounded after her collision, but was able to dock at her desired destination. Many people have suggested that after the ship docked, she was destroyed, possibly burned, to try and cover up the evidence of the collision and leave the owners of the ship legally unharmed."
