  • " Cape of Good Hope into the Indian Ocean." Rounding the Cape puts you in the Pacific, not the Indian.
    • Are you sure about that? That'd be Cape Horn.

        • Yup - if I had to guess, it was likely that it was a safer route, since there would be more places to stop between Africa and Australia than between South America and Australia, but that's just a hunch. Parsecboy (talk) 23:27, 31 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
