Image copyright problem with Image:Komisar.jpg edit

The image Image:Komisar.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

The following images also have this problem:

Unsourced notable people edit

In light of this discussion, I've removed the unsourced entries from the list of notable individuals in the article. They are listed below, as they appeared in the article, so as to facilitate their restoration if and when references can be found. Cordless Larry (talk) 13:33, 12 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I referenced the above-mentioned people, and will be adding some more.
As the list seems to be quite big now, would you support creating a separate article - a List of Russians in the United Kingdom, and moving the names there? Regards, --Therexbanner (talk) 17:20, 19 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
@Cordless Larry @Therexbanner what sort of sourcing is required? I think its well sourced for Helen Mirren, Peter Ustinov and Alexandra Tolstoy in respective articles. Support a standalone list article. PaulT2022 (talk) 06:27, 16 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Just a reliable source supporting the claim about their link to Russia, really. Cordless Larry (talk) 11:59, 16 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
I was looking at this list (and the one about monuments I started) and was thinking whether a standalone article for the list itself is redundant considering that the Category:Russian emigrants to the United Kingdom, Category:British_people_of_Russian_descent exist and, perhaps Category:Monuments to Russians in the United Kingdom could be created. (Provided they're populated with enough subcategories to be meaningful, similarly to how its done in the article currently.) PaulT2022 (talk) 21:27, 30 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Imo, this article contains interesting aspects worth to mention in the article. my 2 favourite sentences: For two decades, the British establishment has agreed not to think too hard about where the Russians got their money — how cash was stolen from the state, recycled in the West, then used to help bring Vladimir Putin and his ex-KGB colleagues to power. In return, the Russians spent a lot of that money in Britain, to the benefit of the British. --Neun-x (talk) 18:11, 17 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
