You know, I went to elementary school with the (twin) sons of Roy Bennett. One year, the class sang one of Roy Bennett's songs called "Lucky Lindy", about Charles Lindbergh. Would love to find a recording of that song -- but haven't had any luck. Has anyone out there heard of that song? Lisa150 02:14, 17 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Extremely late by way of reply, but there was a song composed in 1927 called "Lucky Lindy" b/w "Lindbergh, The Eagle Of U.S.A." on a recording by Vernon Delhart. See Lucky Lindy!. There have been a few more modern renditions of "Lucky Lindy" in that vein, but these are all accredited to songwriters Abel Baer and L. Wolfe Gilbert. Clearly Bennett was only nine years old, at best in 1927 when Charles Lindbergh completed his epic flight. Given Lindbergh's subsequent fall from grace, and Bennett's song-writing career not really starting until after World War II, it seems unlikely Bennett would have chosen Lindbergh as subject matter for a song. AllMusic has this. - Derek R Bullamore (talk) 23:29, 4 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
