Spelling Query edit

When Mr Buckland backs the UK's reneging on an agreement, contrary to international law, should he spell that action as 'welching' or 'welshing'. Both spellings have been used in the past but, being Welsh, he may have special insight into the matter.

Neither, this term would non-neutral language. Also, the term can imply a pejorative characterisation of the Welsh. In Wikipedia it should only be used in direct quotations and in articles that relate to characterisations of the Welsh. Verbcatcher (talk) 02:18, 11 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
