Real time in music edit

There is an alternative meaning to "real time" in music that apparently is not addressed in Wikipedia. When musicians record a musical piece in real time, it means that they are playing together and recording at the same time. By contrast, if the musicians were to record their parts separately and then overdub or combine them onto a single recording, that would not be considered playing or recording in real time. 174.56.173.38 (talk) 13:23, 18 January 2024 (UTC)kolef174.56.173.38 (talk) 13:23, 18 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Untitled 1 edit

I've added 12 Angry Men (1957) to the list because, as I recall, it is done in Real Time - however, I may be mistaken and will watch it again to confirm. For the time being, I'm leaving it on the list, as IMDb lists it as Real Time on their webpage. 67.40.243.226 11:25, 29 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Does the Stargate Atlantis Episodes Thirty-Eight Minutes Count? The only question I have is if a brief flashback during a story and the last few minutes (after the conflict is resolved) not occurring in realtime exlude it. 216.86.103.72 05:21, 18 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Die Hard 1 edit

The first Die Hard is in real time, surely? I can't think of any time skips in the story at all. Fenton Bailey 08:11, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Pen and paper role playing games edit

Real time can be used as a technique in pen and paper role-playing, for realism, immersion and limiting of time to think in what should be a stressed situation. This is described in my old Swedish Drakar och demoner rules, and I'm sure in various other games as well. Might be worth including. Ever wonder (talk) 00:21, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Garfield edit

In the comics, Garfield's age is always said to be the same as the strip itself, does that count? 50.178.185.7 (talk) 04:02, 4 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

1917 edit

To be clear -- 1917 is not real time, regardless of what the "see also" section may have you believe — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.194.8.174 (talk) 03:26, 8 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Titanic edit

Was Titanic a real time film? I read that the movie was made to approximately follow the timescale of the actual ship sinking, about 2 and a half hours, which is why it ended up so long. RedPanda25 02:42, 1 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
