Deletion/Importance
editThe original article was deleted within 10 minutes of the original speedy deletion tag being placed, giving me no time to address the original issue, which seems to be the importance of this company. Raw Engineering manufacture a car of importance to clubman racing in Britain and elsewhere. Yes, it is a small company with only a limited product range, but nonetheless, that range is of significant importance in racing and autotesting. In particular, it's importance in terms of 750 motor club activities, a club from which the likes of John Cooper, Alec Issigonis and Colin Chapman rose to fame. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nasty (talk • contribs) 14:17, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Need for disambiguation page?
editHi,
I work for a company based in the United States an India called raw engineering (yes in all lowercase). We've found that there is sometimes confusion between our company and the company this page is referring to: RAW STRIKER LTD. KIT CAR MANUFACTURER. For example, there was a blog post written about us this week and we had to reach out to the writer to correct his post to refer to our company and not the UK company. [1]
I'm not sure what the correct process is in this situation, and I know it is generally inappropriate for company employees to modify or create their own Wikipedia pages, but I believe that this confusion is detrimental at large to both ourselves and Raw Striker Ltd. kit car manufacturer. I think having a disambiguation page between our two companies to clarify that when one finds Raw Engineering on Wikipedia, there are actually two companies.
Please let me know what is proper to do in this situation.
