Name of article

edit

I'm not sure "Raphael Cohen" is right name for this article — neither do I think we should follow the Hebrew Wikipedia where the article is named רפאל זיסקינד — since I'm not sure that he used "Cohen" or "זיסקינד" as a surname. (It seems to me that זיסקינד was his father's middle name. The name was fairly common in that era. See for example Süßkind von Trimberg). The title pages of his works printed during his lifetime ([1][2][3][4]) suggest that the author himself (the subject of this article) used כ"ץ, (see also his signature at [5] (bottom of page)) while these sources ([6][7][8]) refer to him as רפאל הכהן. Both הכהן and כ"ץ can be romanized in several ways. Which name and which romanization should be used? -- -- -- 22:33, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

P.S. See also [9] where he refers to his son as צבי הירש כ"ץ.
