Uncited material, probably not a big problem
editI just wanted to say: the uncited material here can mostly be more or less verified from the external links, but they are all a little too "close" to the subject to count as citable sources. I live in Seattle and am familiar with his playing (I took the photo on the article and then cleaned up the article). It all looks roughly right, and actually fails to mention most of the more prominent people he's played with or who have praised him.
I think he might have been the first Hendrix tribute act to get any attention, but I'm not sure of that. A citation on that would be great. - Jmabel | Talk 18:52, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Article needs updating
editWhile citing Hansen's involvement in Heart By Heart, I noticed references to "present year of 2010" as well as his U.S. and international tours. Does he still tour outside the Pacific Northwest? Can someone with knowledge of Hansen's other recent activities please update this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.236.123.166 (talk) 01:33, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
- He does still tour. If someone wants to work on updating, here's a recent reference: Erik Lacitis, [ http://www.seattletimes.com/entertainment/music/auburn-tribute-performer-randy-hansen-still-living-the-jimi-hendrix-experience/Auburn tribute performer Randy Hansen still living the Jimi Hendrix experience], Seattle Times, 2017-07-31. - Jmabel | Talk 03:59, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
Is no one going to mention his early use of blackface in live performances?
editI saw him in 1978 or 1979, and he was clearly in blackface and a wig - not a big deal at the time, but looking back at it now, I'm surprised it's not mentioned here. A quick Google search shows several newspaper articles alluding to it. 76.174.51.63 (talk) 02:31, 20 May 2024 (UTC)
