Requested move 10 October 2023 edit

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: no consensus. It looks like some content may need to be split into the target article, I've left a redirect there as a reminder so that can happen eventually. In the meantime, there was not enough support here for a move. (closed by non-admin page mover) ASUKITE 15:02, 27 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Priory of VranaVrana Monastery – I suggest renaming the article to Vrana Monastery because Priory of Vrana existed only after knights Hospitalers took over the place, but this site has history which spans way longer. I partly agree, depends on what is more mentioned in the reliable sources. The priory was centralized and related to the monastery and its lands. Priory of Vrana with its fortress can be easily made a separate sub-section of the article or created as a new article, but also for the monastery can be created a new article. In the long run, think that there should be made two separate articles, one dealing specifically with the description of the monastery, while the second with the Priory & activity of the Crusaders.--Miki Filigranski (talk) 22:13, 10 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose, The two are not the same, I suggest creating a new article instead. --Norden1990 (talk) 13:40, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
If we would create a new article, then we also need to redo the existing article in some aspects. For example the template which describes the Cultural good of Croatia. Ruins of Vrana fort still do exist in Croatia today, and they are the Cultural Good. On the other hand, if we would have the article about merely Vrana priory as an administrative unit of Hospitaler order, then the priory doesn't make a cultural good. When the article was created the focus was on the priory. Since then, unfortunately, it has been expanded with the history of the monastery itself, which, however, deserves its own article. The Priory of Vrana was an ecclesiastical administrative unit in Medieval Hungary & Croatia, which is notable in its own right. --Norden1990 (talk) 16:07, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
