Is this song really heavy metal as it says? I think it's alternative metal.24.16.126.40 (talk) 04:58, 20 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I don't get it. If the song is a conversation with God, is it for or against Him?--Martin925 04:58, 4 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

I believe it is against God.

I thought it was the singer portraying god and his cruelty through the song.

It's a "modern day depiction of the biblical story of Job," as explained by the lead singer in the extended version of the music video for the song. Here's a link for a source: Disturbed Prayer (extended version). This should be something worth adding to the page. It would be more insightful than just saying the members go through traumatic experiences. Xe7al 05:38, 7 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Lyrics

Can somebody please stop reversing my changes to the damn lyrics? Listen to the freakin' song, its "Burn Me A Light Inside" not "Burn Me Alive Inside". Meh. Talk User:Fissionfox 13:08, 13 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, whoever deleted the lyrics :D. I didn't read the rules on lyrics on Wikipedia :( Talk User:Fissionfox 12:30, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Just to clarify, it is in fact "Burn me alive, inside"... First of all, that is a lot more logical than "Burn me a light inside". Second, that is what it says in the CD booklet (I know they are not always correct but they get the phrases right). Lastly, when I listen to the song, that is what I hear... when you have a certain phrase in your mind, that is what you will hear. Dan 00:34, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

A thought on the lyrics:

Did Disturbed actually WRITE this song? It appears to me it might be a cover song, originally written/performed by the band ABC. Source : http://www.kovideo.net/lyrics/a/Abc/Prayer-By-Default.html

Other lyric websites on the web contain similar band/lyric information. Neverwake (talk) 21:21, 12 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Prayer -0 30-.ogg

edit

Image:Prayer -0 30-.ogg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Amazon.com

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_21#Is_Amazon.com_a_reliable_source.3F "For basic facts, it can be seen as a source of last resort... use it if you can not find the information anywhere else." Nowhere else online (that is "credible", though it is all over online) does it have that info. TheWeakWilled 15:55, 10 July 2009 (UTC) And also the fact that in the special edition, it doesn't state that. TheWeakWilled 15:58, 10 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Is the interpretation of the song a "basic fact"? I would use the CD/DVD itself if you have it. --The Guy complain edits 16:19, 10 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: no consensus. There is no momentum in favour of the move, but the opposing arguments themselves are not very strong, relying on a specific personal take on WP:SMALLDETAILS (specifically on if "The" cannot be used to disambiguate two things).
