The dog qualifies as notable as per wikipedia guidelines. Badbilltucker 17:51, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Worth £3000

edit

This seems implausible seeing as a replica of the trophy sold for £254,000 according to the main article. Soundwave (talk) 17:47, 8 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Not at all. I think the cost of making it could well have been £3000 in material costs. It's now £30,000 at most in the article, which I think is right because it was ensured for 30K and the cost of making it would have been lower. Also, there is already already a comparison of prices between 1966 and "now" in the article. I would think that 1) the replica would have been almost identical to the original and 2) that the price would be about right after conversion between those two dates. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.95.237.162 (talk) 17:07, 3 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Reward

edit

It wasn't £6,000. It was £1,000. British Pathe has filmed evidence of the cheque being presented (this can be viewed on YouTube). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.2.82.121 (talk) 09:33, 11 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Will vandalise until factually correct

Why do people post incorrect or spurious facts, knowingly I might add, to enhance the interest level of the item. My "vandalism" is a legitimate protest and should not be censored. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.69.50.14 (talk) 05:30, 19 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Magpie
