I've removed some obvious errors and solecisms. I've also removed duplicate roses and roses not actually bred by Peter Lambert. I've added what little is reliably known to authors writing in English, but the Life needs to be separated from The Roses, and the latter given systematic treatment by someone who knows more than I. I am working through the list of sortable roses to make it reasonably complete. At present it is relatively worthless compared to the treatment on Help Me Find, but it will provided a framework for the public domain photos that are now regularly coming available. Article now divided between Life and Rose Breeding as it should be. The references in both German and English are poor, perhaps because in reality they are few. Luckily Quest-Ritson grew up in Germany and liked it. Worse is the serious shortage of photos, obliging any serious online student to resort to Help Me Find and its superb database.
