What about "THE CHARMINGS"???? edit

Why is there no mention in this article that he played the role of the "Magic Mirror" on 'The Charmings"????

Simpsons? edit

He was a Simpsons *cast* member? No. 64.122.95.110 21:36, 7 March 2006 (UTC) I'm commenting it out.Reply

Serpent and the Rainbow edit

Why is there no mention about his role in the Serpent and The Rainbow? It was an awesome film and his role was significant in it. I think he deserves recognition for that.

We have an article about that film, The Serpent and the Rainbow. However it doens't seem like a significant project, nor has Winfield's performance received particualr notice (that I'm aware of). However, feel free to be bold and add it if you think it's important. -Will Beback 04:28, 12 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oh, he died? I liked his voice on City Confidential, kinda creepy. Here's something for trivia, he played a role in Roots. -69.67.229.149 05:20, 23 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Buried where? edit

Does the statement "He is interred at Forest Lawn Cemetery." refer to Winfield or his partner? WeeWillieWiki (talk) 02:27, 18 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Birth year edit

His damn grave says 1939, then why he listed as born in 1941? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.58.103.176 (talk) 05:08, 28 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

According to his obituaries from the Chicago Tribune, The New York Times, CBS News and The Guardian, Winfield was born in 1941 and not 1939. It's a human error that his grave says 1939 instead of 1941. Hitcher vs. Candyman (talk) 04:02, 1 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

It's equally possible the newspaper obits were "human error" – he wouldn't be the first celebrity to shave a couple of years off his true age. Primary sources like the California Birth Index might give us a clue, but we'd need to know what surname he was registered under. Is the identity of his birth father known?--Muzilon (talk) 12:58, 18 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
Just include them both if from WP:RSs. --Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 14:24, 7 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Hitcher vs. Candyman: I've done some digging. Contrary to the newspaper obituaries, the Social Security Index says he was actually born in Dallas, Texas (not Los Angeles, California) on 22 May 1939.[1] I also found a likely match in the Texas Birth Index: Paul Whitfield Gallerson, born Dallas, 22 May 1939, to a Lois Edward Gallerson. The father's name is left blank.[2] Muzilon (talk) 03:33, 31 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Muzilon: Sorry for the late response. Good work on the research. I had no idea he was born in Dallas, Texas. I wonder why those obituaries claimed he was born in 1941 in Los Angeles. Hitcher vs. Candyman (talk) 03:37, 21 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
Ehhh, the newspapers usually just repeat the "biography" provided by the celebrity's publicists... which may turn out to be wrong when primary sources come to light. See also Talk:Laura Branigan. Muzilon (talk) 07:45, 21 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

City Confindential edit

Why hassn't his credit for being the narrator for City Confindential been added to the Television table? He did this til his death in 04 & was replaced by Keith David. AjHarris78 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.199.212.7 (talk) 07:42, 12 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Photograph edit

Can't we get a better headshot of him? I don't think this B&W profile image of him looking rather wide-eyed is a very good photo. Muzilon (talk) 00:57, 4 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
