Text is probably copied wholesale from another site edit

A google search for a sentence from this article returns a number of exact matches - it could be that they are all re-using the text from the article. But given the style I wonder if some/all of this text might be built by cut and paste from another source. --The chemistds (talk) 15:20, 24 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Looking at the edit history, particularly the bytes added/deleted columns, it seems this article has developed fairly gradually. With copyright violations there's usually one large edit that stands out from the rest, which adds the copied text.

On the other hand, it's fairly usual that other websites copy content from Wikipedia, it's even explicitly allowed by Wikipedia licenses.

Unless you can find any stronger evidence from the edit history, I don't think there's any reason to worry. -- intgr [talk] 15:28, 24 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
