User:Premeditated Chaos proposed that sections from this article (town and constituency) should be split into their own pages. -MPGuy2824 (talk)

- Support the splitting of the town. I think it is the same as this (the district and population figures match). -MPGuy2824 (talk) 10:14, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
- Comment: The constituency already exists at Palair (Assembly constituency). So that section just needs to be removed from the river article. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 10:14, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
- Given that the constituency & the town are officially (per the census anyway) spelled "Palair", should this be moved to "Palair river" to make the spelling consistent? ♠PMC♠ (talk) 20:07, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
- In the sources that are live/archived, the river is called Paleru. Also, Palar River and Palar River (Kaveri basin) exist. I think a bit more research is needed before any move. I don't think we should club it with this discussion. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 03:23, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
- Comment: Palair Lake exists. The Lift Irrigation section should be copied/moved there. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 03:23, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
