platform type: island or side?
editThe text of this article appears to be lifted (copyvio?) from [1]. That external reference mentions "Open cut, island platforms, beige color." (sic). However, another editor left "2 side platforms" in the infobox and that claim appears to be backed by the image at File:Oakwood 'Heights SIR jeh.JPG which has "ghts" on the platform name sign (indicating correct station in the photo) and clearly depicts a side platform, not an island platform. I have tagged the claim of an island platform in the article text as needing a better citation. If none can be found in a reasonable amount of time I will switch the article text to agree with the Infobox and to disagree with the stationreporter web site. 67.86.73.252 (talk) 01:27, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
- The former text claiming it was an island platform has been changed to state there are side platforms. Satelitte photos at google also show two distinct side platforms. 67.86.73.252 (talk) 14:02, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- I took the pic in question last year, and comparing the metadata time stamp on its Wiki page with those of nearby stations confirms that its time is consistent with it being this station. Bicycling through these South Shore communities on Saturday I photographed a number of stations again, probably including this one, and hope to work through my backlog before the month is out and upload any that are relevant and of decent quality. Some will have GPS coordinates in their metadata. Jim.henderson (talk) 06:49, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
