The result of the move request was: no consensus. Participants were split on whether Shiva is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for "Nilkanth", preventing a consensus from forming. However, there does appear to be consensus to merge the DAB pages at Nilakantha and Nilkanth (disambiguation), which were identified as covering largely the same material. Leaning toward oppose: Although I did not find "Nilkanth" in the Shiva article, I did find "Nīlakaṇtha" and a description of the subject's blue throat and the origin story of this characteristic, so I now believe WP:DABMENTION is met in spirit. A search clearly indicates that the term is descriptive of Shiva. People with the name are being named after Shiva. This dab page should probably be merged with Nilakantha (disambiguation). There are 12 entries listed upon the Nilkanth (disambiguation) page, with no indication that Nilkanth has such renown that it is an obvious WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT to Shiva, overriding the combined notability of the remaining 11 entries. Alternatively, I would support for the Nilkanth (disambiguation) page, which was created in August 2008, to be merged into the Nilakantha disambiguation page, which was created in January 2007 and has no WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, per BarrelProof. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 06:53, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
• Oppose - Nilkanth (alternately spelled Nilakantha, Neelakanth or Neelkanth) is redirected to Shiva because it is the name for the god - And the people and places are named after him.
  On doing a google search, all of the top results are related to the god, who is by far the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC here.
  Disagree with Crouch, Swale regarding the claim that one mention of the mountain (incidentally, named after the god) appearing before the searches related to the god (in one specific spelling of the name) should mean it is not the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC - By this measure Christ should redirect to Christ University.
  Though I would support merging and redirecting Nilakantha dab into Nilkanth dab, they are two spellings of the same word. Captain Jack Sparrow (talk) 06:21, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
