Should anyone doubt that this was a genuinely widely-covered genre, as the recent PROD nomination suggests may be the case, perhaps these sources will help: Encyclopedia of contemporary British Culture, The Guardian, Robert Christgau, NME/The Encyclopedia of Popular Music, CMJ New Music Monthly, CMJ New Music Monthly again, and see also Steven Wells' book Punk: young, loud & snotty : the stories behind the songs.--Michig (talk) 18:27, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
