Kind of a lot errors in the article, for example Czechoslovakia isn't a country anymore. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ingenmansland (talkcontribs) 13:06, 23 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hidden Photo -- Incorrect Caption edit

I've hidden a photo with an editor's comment. Why? The caption is patently incorrect. While the caption refers to the NNSC, the personnel depicted are certainly not NNSC members. Of the five officers shown, one has brassard from the Military Armistice Commission, one is a US Navy officer, and one is a ROK officer. I've contacted the US Navy News Service requesting a clarification, but until they correct the caption, we should not use this photo. --S. Rich (talk) 16:20, 9 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Further work edit

I've made a substantial enlargement to the article. I think I'm going to stop here, but while it is fresh in my mind here are some notes on areas that could warrant more coverage:

  • info on infrigements found by NNSC (though it would be difficult to do in balanced way)
  • more on U.S. belief tha NK was evading NNSC inspection, especially jet fighters
  • more on reasons/political motivation for South Korean actions against NNSC - basically SK govt wanted war restarted
  • more on underlying US/SK motivation to modernise their military in SK, contrary to 13(d), and how early this motivation started (declassified State memos would probably illuminate this) - I think essentially the US believed SK army needed to contract to permit economic development, and the US needed to cut troop levels for cost reasons, and the only way to achieve this was to completely modernise equipment & go nuclear contrary to 13(d)
  • more on how 13(c) was monitored (article currently mainly covers 13(d))

That's more than enough!! Rwendland (talk) 14:09, 4 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
