Split and merge

This article titled "Net neutrality by country" is Wikipedia:Splitting which combines the current 9 May 2018 content from two other articles, Net neutrality law and net neutrality.

The "net neutrality" article was too long per Wikipedia:Article size. Ideal articles are 30-50k and editors typically consider dividing at 60. Net Neutrality was 110k, and this was a 19k cut from it. While the "net neutrality law" article was not too long, it still had the problem of Wikipedia:Content forking with the information about net neutrality laws by country in the main "net neutrality" article. Editors should not develop these lists in multiple places, but instead every article which needs to explain net neutrality by country should refer to this article. After I combined the lists from those articles here, I merged together repeated content without copyediting. For example, since both had a section on China, I combined the two China sections. My intent was to avoid deleting any content.

Very incomplete?

Why are so few countries mentioned here? It’s not like only those countries have a non-censored Internet or anything. DemonDays64 (talk) 22:59, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

Removed United States split template.

The United States section of this article already contains a link to the Net neutrality in the United States article. Additionally, the Net neutrality article is already centered around the United States, naturally, since the Internet is a technology mostly developed and maintained by this country. I don't feel there is a need to deepen in this topic any more. Let's keep this article centered around a global perspective. --TZubiri (talk) 05:11, 26 May 2019 (UTC)

Net Neutrality in North Korea?

South Korea's 'Network Fee' Bill

South Korea might pass a bill which would violate Net Neutrality: Article 1, Article 2. This probably doesn't need to be added yet to the article, since the bill hasn't been passed yet, but maybe we should keep an eye on it.

There was also this 2021 Guardian article which suggests that this has been an ongoing debate in Korea. PlasticStylus (talk) 16:48, 29 September 2022 (UTC)
