Spreadsheet

Some of the titles in the spreadsheet could be clearer? Town/City seems to refer to the building location which may not have been a town or city, so perhaps "Building location" instead. Year is possibly launching year. Type - type of vessel. Location - latest known location. Is it possible to freeze the header row in such a long list? Only food for thought. Legal protection

What is not clear from this article is whether being on the register offers any form of legal protection to the vessels, or places any duties on their owners, comparable to listed buildings. See [1], particularly the answer to "If I nominate my vessel for the National Register of Historic Vessels, will any subsequent work on the vessel or its use or sale be affected by heritage restrictions?" The short answer appears to be "no" apart from the issue of export restrictions. I would look into this more, but the non-Wikipedia world intrudes. ThoughtIdRetired _TIR 11:17, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
