  • "he is very knowledgable on all sports that are played." - This seems like a statement of opinion and is not encyclopedic. A hyperbole at the least.

The article is not poorly written but statements such as "Here he took a long time off to have a break and play lots of golf." and "He wrote about his depression very thoroughly in his second book "Just an Opinion"." do not, to me, carry a a well formulated encyclopedic tone.
