Birth name edit

Mischa (or Misha) is not a formal name but a diminutive of Mikhail. This says he was born "Mikhail Simonovich Ounskowsky". A closer transliteration would be Mikhail Semyonovich Unskovsky (Михаил Семёнович Унсковский). I'll make this edit. -- JackofOz (talk) 03:43, 10 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Birth date - which calendar? edit

Any idea whether "17 November 1905" was a Julian calendar date (which would be equivalent to 30 November 1905 in the Gregorian calendar), or whether it's already been converted to Gregorian (from 4 November 1905 Julian)? -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ... 04:19, 18 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Problem with Filmography edit

The Filmography section omits many of Auer's films. I looked up all WP pages that reference this one, and began creating wikilinks for each film in which he starred. I stopped after "The Flame of New Orleans" because I got tired.

Is this a problem with other lists in WP?

Is it possible to write a bot to suggest links to add to such lists? David Spector (user/talk) 18:40, 1 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned references in Mischa Auer edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Mischa Auer's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 23:43, 2 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
