Court cases

Neither http://www.lenta.ru/news/2006/07/14/nokiev/ nor http://www.regnum.ru/news/674005.html talk about libel cases in a court of law. They both talk about "Official Kiev" (probably the Department for Foreign Affairs) declaring him Persona Non Grata. It is different from the libel case, obviously no government can had over a non grata person, the best they could do is to prevent him entering the state there he is not welcome abakharev 11:28, 18 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mr.Bakharev, the 2003 court issues that you demand citations for are of common knowledge in Ukraine. As well as inside the unlawful Russian govt refusing to carry out its international obligations regarding court decisions :). You should either stop pretending that you don't know that or stop editing UA pages. Some wishes, Ukrained 19:35, 18 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
Ukrained, it was much more useful to add citations, like KPbIC just did than writing such messages like the one above. But seriously, what's wrong with your attitude? --Irpen 00:17, 19 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

An unrelated question. The article includes the following:

but Russian government refuses to take legal actions against Leontyev ruled out by the Ukrainian court

It is not clear why Russia is obliged to follow the orders of the Ukrainian local court. There is no such a thing as an automatic recognition of the foreign court decisions and there are only rather narrow agreements about those things. Such agreements, if exist, are by no means universal, eg. there may be an agreement about recognition of each others' extradition orders or of the family court decisions about the custody disputes but the same agreement may or may not cover the administrative court decisions about the civil action, which is the category of the libel compensation claims. So, it is not clear whether Russia has to enforse the decision of the Ukrainian local court. Neither it is clear that it refuses to do so. Not doing something is not the same as refusing to do something, as the latter implies the stated refusal, while the former may mean that the matter is too smalll to pay attention or whatever. --Irpen 02:43, 19 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Also, what is a crusader journalist? If this is an established term in jourmalism, fine. But I could not google it. --Irpen 02:45, 19 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

OK, since nothing was done, I had two choices, to rewrite the whole articlem to tag it or to get the scissors. The first option is not for me since I care little about the fellow. Of the last two, I chose the latter. The reasons were explained at the talk above. --Irpen 03:27, 2 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
