Wikipedia:MUSIC states the following:

A musician or ensemble (note that this includes a band, singer, rapper, orchestra, DJ, musical theatre group, etc.) may be notable if it meets any one of the following criteria:

  • Has had a charted single or album on any national music chart.

Thereby the notability has been confirmed according to the guidelines. If you do not agree, then you might have to get the guidelines changed.
