a bit more info

edit

This actor is in so many roles, couldn't there be a bit more on him. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.2.184.150 (talk) 11:15, 13 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

most recognisable role?

edit

...according to the article is The Crow. I forgot he was in it...

I thought he was the one who fired the infamous gun that killed Brandon Lee. --Procrastinatrix 19:01, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Video game roles

edit

Is it confirmed that he's returning for Halo 3? It sounded like someone else in the first campaign trailer: "You are, all of you, vermin." Fire 16:49, 6 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Birth year

edit

I've not looked through the article history much, and not yet looked for new references, but so far I've seen nothing but unreliable or rather poor sources that don't help us in properly verifying which year he was born. If his birth record is available it would give us an idea when to be looking for, though a primary source alone would probably not work at this point. --Ronz (talk) 03:25, 21 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Page clean-up and expansion

edit

This looked like a page in need of some updating, so I've added information with cited references. A couple of points of note:

THANK YOU!

edit

I want to thank whoever updated this page for my client, because when I made changes or tried to do biographies in the past, either he asked me to delete everything, OR someone else changed my work saying I had a conflict of interest due to my 29 year relationship with the page subject. *smirk* The new content is great, and similar to what I had written in the past, but you found references. I will try my best to make sure he doesn't complain. He's terribly humble. However, one thing he does insist on is the mention of his very first television movie role in "Earthbound". I know you did not easily find reference to it, and he himself had to remove it from IMDb due to their restrictions, but it WAS his first film role. Trust me, I have the review articles and a page from Canadian Tv Guide. The film was directed by Mike Newell and starred Katherine (Kate Reid). If we can let that one stay without the elusive online references, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again from a grateful publicist Runjik23 (talk) 19:55, 26 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi Runjik23: I happened to have recently gained access to some newspaper archives and have since found some references that I could cite for Earthbound. You will note that I have re-added information about this film to Michael Wincott's article and have changed the "years active" dates in his infobox accordingly.
You might be interested to know that a couple of Wikipedia's main policies revolve around verifiability and notability. These policies are of special importance when it comes to biographies of living persons. It's not only important that the information included on Wikipedia be the truth, but it is also important that the reader is able to find the source of the information in order to be able to discern for themselves whether it comes from a reliable source and whether it demontrates a neutral point of view. Wikipedia also has a notability policy in an attempt to avoid being an indiscriminate collection of information. Just because a certain piece of information may be true, this does not necessarily mean it warrants inclusion.
Having said that, I am truly grateful for your words of thanks. It's nice to have ones work appreciated. Most of my edits stem from looking up a particular subject on Wikipedia and noting that the coverage on Wikipedia is relatively slim even though I am able to find a good amount of information via reliable sources on the web. When possible I'll add cited references and generally remove information that I can't find references for. Cheers! Marchijespeak/peek 14:59, 4 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Why is the article lacking a photograph? LordofThunder42 (talk) 17:58, 4 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
