How is he notable? edit

Merely being an unemployed blogger doesn't make someone notable. Neither does merely committing a violent crime. He's neither well known nor has he had any noteworthy impact. This article serves no purpose beyond self promotion so I suggest that it be removed for not being noteworthy. If anyone disagrees please post here so we can have a discussion otherwise I will review the notability policy and move forward if that makes sense. - Geeks On Hugs (talk) 21:36, 17 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, I'm also a bit skeptical this meets notability guidelines, since he's mainly known for a single event: WP:BLP1E. A clickbait blogger with 20,000 youtube subscribers would not normally have an article without some other claim to fame. This should be evaluated again in May, after he's been sentenced. He would not be so notable if this were an isolated incident, but given the history of politically motivated conflicts and crimes in Portland (eg [1],[2]) it's notable as part of an emergent pattern of political conflict. Strickland continues to be active in Oregon politics and has attracted support of at least one elected representative: [3].

The opening sentence needs better structure edit

As the title says, it appears the opening sentence doesn't make any sense, at least the way it is structured out. Did someone mean "is a conservative blogger for Progressives Today"? Or is that up to date? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.68.40.109 (talk) 15:55, 17 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
