Well, I hope that IMDb wasn't updated with this date just because of what someone on Wikipedia "thought" his birth date was. wbm1058 (talk) 11:03, 8 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Michael graduated Evanston High School in 1984, this makes the 12/1970 birthdate impossible as he would have been 13 upon graduation. In Wikipedia he is noted as the creative source for 1983's YAMO production which would have made him 12 years old. He most likely was born in 1966. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.1.190.205 (talk) 22:22, 5 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I was in school with him and can show a year book photo. I wrote the above before I signed in. He is not one of the 1970's babies —Preceding unsigned comment added by Drcracky (talkcontribs) 22:29, 5 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Bottom line here is that we need a WP:reliable source for his birth date. People says he was 31 on June 26, 2000.
So, using {{Birth based on age as of date}}, he was born 1968 or 1969 (age 54–55).
IMDb is claiming December 14, 1970. Per IMDb § Copyright, vandalism and error issues, IMDb has been subject to deliberate additions of false information; in 2012 a spokesperson said: "We make it easy for users and professionals to update much of our content, which is why we have an 'edit page.' The data that is submitted goes through a series of consistency checks before it goes live. Given the sheer volume of the information, occasional mistakes are inevitable, and, when reported, they are promptly fixed. We always welcome corrections."
Until we can find better sourcing for this, I think we should go with People. wbm1058 (talk) 10:37, 8 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
Now I see that IMDb has been changed to say December 14, 1966. I'm not sure what to make of that. I've yet to find a reliable source confirming the December 14 date. – wbm1058 (talk) 14:58, 19 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

. . .

So the refs. that I went to the trouble of locating were just removed without explanation from the article, and we leave our readers in the dark, other than the big notice about IMDB's reliability at the top, about our uncertainty over his birth date. So these refs. don't get lost in edit wars, I'm posting them here.

  • 1966 or 1967 (age 57–58)[1]
  • 1967 or 1968 (age 55–56)[2]
  • 1968 or 1969 (age 54–55)[2]
  • 1970 or 1971 (age 52–53)[3]

If there is further edit warring over the birth date, a {{disputed}} tag may need to go on the birth date citation. – wbm1058 (talk) 14:16, 22 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Actually {{dubious}} or {{disputed-inline}} should cover a dispute limited to just a birth date. wbm1058 (talk) 14:25, 22 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
