Release Date?
editI live in Dallas, and I know cars. I DEFINITELY saw a SLS AMG a few weeks ago in May outside of a restaurant on Lovers Ln, but this article claims it won't be released in the U.S. until mid 2011? Is that a typo? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.119.164.121 (talk) 22:42, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yea, that doesn't seem correct. I saw one a few days ago in Dewey Beach, Delaware. I'll see what I can dig up about it. Amit ► 14:36, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- I am reasonably sure I spotted one in Brentwood, Tennessee last week. I will keep a camera in the car so if I see it again I'll be sure to snap a pic, Boingolover (talk) 21:31, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
A matt silver convertible Mercedes SLS AMG was being photographed on the Isle of Skye(Scotland)for advertising purposes in early June of 2011. The car was being transported by special transporter and wheeled out for its photoshoots. It was photographed on the morning of Tuesday 7th 2011 with Eilean Donan Castle in the background, where it was seen and admired by many including myself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.241.130.246 (talk) 19:37, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
Classification
editI've got a question: I think the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG also fits into the supercars. Because of its design, max speed and engine. What do you think? --217.233.130.69 (talk) 22:04, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- The consensus on Wikipedia is to not use supercars as a category because it is so subjective. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Automobiles/Conventions and the links listed at on this edit. Thanks, Alanraywiki (talk) 22:12, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
Shouldn't there be a mention regarding the ad for this that's creating a stir?
editJust saw it on youtube after linking to it from engadget or something. It does a loop-de-loop in a tunnel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCuTjbOdzmY
From what I can tell, there is some debate over its legitimacy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.28.72.87 (talk) 00:05, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

Body styles end of production date?
editI was looking around the article and I noticed that a lot of the tables that show the body styles and production years were incomplete. If the car is no longer in production, shouldn't the tables be filled in stating that the body style is no longer in production?
