Page Title / Move edit

It was attempted to change the page's disambiguation from 'politics' to 'lobbyist'. While 'politics' may not be the ideal identifier, I don't think 'lobbyist' is any better, for at least two reasons - media / work history predominantly use 'campaigner' and 'strategist' over 'lobbyist' as descriptors; and lobbyist generally has a specific application in UK politics, as per the Lobbying Act 2014, which this person does not meet.

Open to suggestions but would prefer discussion here rather than unilateral moves. EardleyC (talk) 21:13, 16 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Requested move 7 December 2018 edit

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: moved - I note the nominator moved it to lobbyist in November, if lobbyist is preferred over political strategist then there's no prejudice to speedy renomination to change that. Note that the lobbyist prefix currently redirects to the page in question. (closed by non-admin page mover) SITH (talk) 13:24, 15 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Matthew Elliott (politics)Matthew Elliott (political strategist) – He's specifically a strategist. Unreal7 (talk) 00:50, 7 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
