The result of the proposal was PAGE MOVED per discussion below. I merged the earlier history so the full authorship history is now visible in one place. -GTBacchus(talk) 03:39, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Matilda (character)Matilda Wormwood — It is best to avoid using parenthesis in the title when possible and in this case the use of parenthesis is not needed. All fictional characters on Wikipedia use the first name & last name title, when the last name is known. The Matilda franchise also has the Wormwood family as supporting characters, so it's not like her last name isn't widely known.  Chantessy  18:17, 13 January 2008 (UTC) — Chantessy  18:17, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Support, but see comments below. Cross porpoises (talk) 22:13, 21 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Discussion edit

Matilda Wormwood was created two years before Matilda (character).[1] I think history merge should be performed so original author credit is kept, even though first article is only stub. Cross porpoises (talk) 22:13, 21 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

The whole article seems glib and unnecessary. It seems rather infantile to make a list of her dislikes being "Mr Wormwood, Mrs Wormwood, Ms Trunchbull" - indeed, I could write for quite some time about how a mature character like matilda blah blah blah...Super Callum! xxx (talk) 19:30, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • I agree. Actually, I'm rather put out that this thing was added and my article on Miss Trunchbull was deleted. Not050 (talk)Not050Not050 (talk)

Does matilda have a dog edit

Notability edit

Its tough to justify having a Wikipedia page for this character when she isnt a mascot of any real world social movements and only appears in 1 children's book that was adapted into 2 movies and 1 musical. Neither film nor the musical was a prequel, sequel or spinoff of the book, meaning there is only one story, total, in which she appears.

Meanwhile, the 2001 Washington Bridge Bomb Plot, the 2001 Mexico City Congressional Attack, and Sonichu are not notable enough to have articles. 2600:1012:B1C2:8FE6:20B8:BBCB:6C86:A93E (talk) 21:33, 14 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
