The entire paragraph on Berry's tenure at Pacifica is tendentious at the minimum, and many aspects are potentially false (cf [1]).

Furthermore I think it's pretty clear that the paragraph on the "Controversies as Chairperson of the US Commission on Civil Rights" contains a bit too much uncited editorializing Tychoish (talk) 18:29, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

NPOV

This article suffers from severe neutrality issues. I say severe because the format of the article alone, with sections for "Controversies as Chairperson of the US Commission on Civil Rights" and "Controversies as chair of Pacifica Radio Foundation National Board", promotes a POV, namely that the subject is controversial. Another problem with the article is its lack of chronology or narrative flow. It jumps back and forth in time and topic. There are sources, and this is an important topic. However due to the significant problems with the existing content I am going to cut it down substantially. Editors may (and should) add additional material while providing inline citations to any quotations or contentious assertions. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 02:38, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

2010 cleanup

I have done some fairly extensive cleanup of this article. I have removed two unverifiable contentious quotations, one from American Renaissance and the other from Washington Monthly. I would be happy to see these restored if somebody can verify the original quotations (neither publication offered a citation).

I believe the Neutral POV tag can be removed from this article.

I am sick and tired of hearing and I just read it that I had a copy of Mao's little red book in my purse and made all of those statements quoted in the same section about the Soviet Union. I don't and never have carried a purse or read to anyone quotes from Mao's Little red book or urged any of the things quoted in that part. I have just read the remainder of the article beginning with describing me as the nation;s chief "higher education" official which is false and the rest of it from that section down attributes remarks to me I never made or takes remarks I made about something else and pretends they were on the writer's favorite subject. I am sure this has all been included for quite sometime without my knowing about it and I've survived so I do not expect it to be cleared up given the nature of Wikipedia but I just thought I'd , for the record, point out its falsity.
