Mary Buckland née Morland edit

Shouldn't this article be called Mary Morland or Mary Buckland née Morland ?

Then the paragraph 'Early life and family' would start Mary Morland was born .. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jwikip (talkcontribs) 21:31, 17 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

I agree. There are some recent sources which call her "Mary Morland Buckland" but this appears to be a mistake. The ODNB and Kolbl-Ebert 1997 are clear that Morland is her maiden name, not her middle name. cagliost (talk) 17:25, 4 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Notability edit

Is Mary Buckland a notable person? She didn't have any notable achievements during her lifetime: she was a skilled draughtsman, but that's it. Surely not sufficient to be considered notable. cagliost (talk) 13:33, 24 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

It fulfills the basic notability criteria for people - multiple published, independent, reliable sources. RockMagnetist (talk) 15:17, 24 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
She's in the ODNB, which is usually something of a gold standard for us as regards notability. Andrew Gray (talk) 16:33, 24 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
It's really strange that the person who created the article is questioning its notability. SilverserenC 22:43, 29 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
