Heritage Railroad?

edit

I know MER handles freight, but isn't the passenger service technically considered a heritage railroad? ---------User:DanTD (talk) 14:00, 19 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

While they definitely use heritage equipment, their 2014 schedule definitely appears to be positioning them as intending to provide actual connecting transportation service to the Downeaster. Given that, I don't think they're acting as much like a heritage railroad now. MarkHB (talk) 05:05, 4 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

I rode an excursion train at the Whippany Railway Museum in September 2017, and the train was pulled by Maine Eastern #488. What's the relationship between the museum and Maine Eastern? Elsquared (talk) 03:09, 13 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

After the Maine Eastern was shut down at the end of 2015 the locomotives were sent back to their owner at the Morristown & Erie MidcoastMaineRailfan (talk) 11:34, 25 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
