This page needs some seriously editing. It almost looks plagiarized also. D'Agosta 03:59, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

The content there has largely been taken from "History of Ottoman Turks" (1878), and it notes in the references. There is no plagiarism, but it is crazy as hell to try to read. I had never heard of the guy before coming here, so theres only so much I can do... Sam Spade 22:47, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

BTW it was said that Mahmud II was born in Topkapi - Constantinapole (and the reference said Istanbul officially named in 1930 which is ture) but somewhere in article it says "He began preparations for the Tanzimat reforms in 1839. The Tanzimat marked the beginning of modernization in Turkey". Turkey doesnt exist officially at that time. But Istanbul is used instead of Konstantiniyye in Ottoman official papers. Janissaries

This article seems to contradict the opinion expressed in other articles that the disbanding of the Janissaries severely weakened the Ottoman empire. So it is possible that Aimee was his biological Mother. There is no any other Türbe (Grave) from another Mother as she. All People was buried, and had he another Mother...her Grave must be known.

Original research

I have tagged the article for original research. There is nothing in the article that mentions him being a poet. Unless there is a source produced stating he is a poet, I will be removing said category along with the other POV categories. --Kansas Bear (talk) 20:07, 2 November 2013 (UTC)

It's not original research, just extremely POV (Pan-Turkism) category spamming by Erim Turukku (talk · contribs). Same problem with the article about Abdul Hamid II and, possibly, others relating to Ottoman history. The Yeti 20:44, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
