Friday August 17, 2012. says "We started the week off right with the news that three Houston restaurants are included in Bon Appétit's list of Best New Restaurants. And guess what? All three were the new Maggie Rita's Tex-Mex restaurants! Ha-ha, just kidding, those are all terrible. As terrible as restaurant owner Carlos Mencia's comedy? Quite possibly, and about as authentic."

Info on source on health violations

edit

AFAIK run of the mill health inspector violations aren't notable to be included in Wikipedia articles, but for the sake of the editors I will make notes about this article so some aspects aren't misunderstood.

  • The description "high-end chef-driven local-oriented interior-style authentic Mexican restaurant" is highly sarcastic and mocking... it is not to be taken seriously/at face value. Read the articles by Katharine Shilcutt about the restaurant.
  • It says there were eight violations. Read it carefully: it lists seven real violations. The eighth, Carlos Mencia, is a joke referring to the co-owner of the restaurant.

If this source is used please annotate the info here, so that editors who are not aware of sarcasm (maybe due to lack of English skills) don't inadvertently include false information. WhisperToMe (talk) 18:43, 28 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
