editWhy is this here? Because it's not supposed to be on the article page and somebody wants the info visible somewhere? CovenantD 17:45, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
Kat's still a Lt.?
editI know we haven't seen her 'promoted' but was she elevated to Captain when she became CAG? or is it just a title?

- Yes, she was promoted, as can be seen when you look closely at several promo pictures and screen caps (insignia with two chevrons). Besides, every CAG we've seen - with the exception of Catman - has been (promoted to) Captain. --Stimkat 22:51, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
- All CAG means is "Commander Air Group", I don't think rank (in Kat's case of dying) really had anything to do with the title - so I don't remember if she was promoted to Captain. Cyberia23 00:37, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, in Home, Part 1, when Adama makes George "Catman" Birch CAG, he promotes him to Captain as well: Adama presents him with the rank pins and says, "Congratulations, Captain." Sullivan.t.j 00:58, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- She refers to her self as Captain Louanne Katraine in her final episode; job promotions do not always coincide with rank promotions... Nicht Nein! 01:08, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Adama's "daughter"
editShould there be a point made about how Adama previously regarded Starbuck as the "daughter he never had" before she revealed the truth about Zak? Wl219 02:28, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- I'd like that... But I really don't like the issue at all; I didn't take what he was telling her as code for you are my third child, I thought he was saying three children would have been what he wanted. Nicht Nein! 04:35, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- Ron Moore, in his podcast for "The Passage", says that Adama "adopted Kat and he adopted Kara before that". Of course, he's not talking about legal adoption, but on the basis of the podcast I think that the writers' intention was to suggest that Kat had indeed become his surrogate daughter, like Kara before her. Was killed because of her popularity?
editIn extra videos (web) it is said that one of the reason of her dead was because her popularity and charm were suppressing Kara's. Should not it also added to the article? Also, the greatest character in those series, with Helena Cain :)--hnnvansier (talk) 04:23, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
