@Kober: Would you perhaps be willing to write a small introduction? Thanks! - LouisAragon (talk) 10:45, 10 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

I'll try my best, but I think only a few of these monarchs can be classified as governors. Georgia as an organized Safavid administrative province hardly existed before the 17th century. See, eg., Röhrborn, Klaus Michael (1966). Provinzen und Zentralgewalt Persiens im 16. und 17. Jahrhundert. Unfortunately, due to real-life routine, I failed to keep a promise to contribute to the main Safavid Georgia using this excellent source.--KoberTalk 16:37, 10 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Kober: Yeah, this article and Safavid Georgia are meant to encompass the entire period in which "Gorjestan" was under Safavid suzerainty (i.e. regardless of how this suzerainty was implemented), so I concur that "List of governors of Safavid Georgia" doesn't fit quite well. I had a lengthy discussion with Gog the Mild about it, and having interacted with you now as well, I will change it to what Gog proposed; "List of rulers of Safavid Georgia". Given the time frame and complexity of the matter, it should do the trick a whole lot better. PS: I know, don't worry, real-life routines are obviously more important, and should always be. Just add it when you have time and when you feel like doing so. :-) - LouisAragon (talk) 20:51, 10 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
For the time being: I copy-pasted a bit of information from the lede of Safavid Georgia. - LouisAragon (talk) 21:08, 10 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
