Many of the Greek names on this list are wrong or corrupted. Somebody needs to change them an preferably link the towns to their respective articles Passportguy (talk) 10:33, 7 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
They are actually not Greek names, but Turkish pronunciations of the Greek names. Some of them were used as village names before 1960s when a Turkish name was given to all Turkish villages which had Greek names, and some had been used for centuries along with the Turkish names. --Seksen (talk) 15:56, 17 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
Well, I do also think that the article should be renamed, possibly List of cities, towns and villages in Northern Cyprus. There are actually only a few cities in the country. --Seksen (talk) 14:31, 11 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
I have added totals for each section based on the data on the page.
To everyone who has contributed to this page, please remember the code of ethics of such systems as Wikipedia. Everyone has a right in this World to be represented on Wikipedia without exclusion. As the name of the page deals with Northern Cyprus as it stands, it is a valid point that those places are represented for the sake of the people in that location - today (I can not claim any of them are valid as I haven't checked them). Please don't bring someone elses view - namely your nations and their view which you agree with to deny that right to any other as all have a right to be here. Keep in mind that millions of years ago, there were dinosaurs occupying those territories if they were even land at that time, and today we represent pages for dinosaurs here. I suppose the American page should have Red Indians also joining such a discussion but serves no purpose for what Wikipedia is about. What is the point of such an amazing system as Wikipedia if we are going to try and push our views across. I believe Wikipedia is about humanity, not nations or a nationalistic view, it is an impartial view that we look to each other as human beings. And yes, we have our flags, our nations and football teams, but that has nothing to do with what Wikipedia and such places are about - being a human being and leaving that for a moment so that one human being to another - we have impartial and good information.
