In Cyprus, Geography of Cyprus, and List of countries and dependencies by area, Republic of Cyprus' area is given as 9251 km2 and it's stated that value includes Northern Cypriot and the sovereign British bases' areas. I'm not objection to including Northern Cypriot area, but why do they include the sovereign British areas? Should those be subtracted from them? Or does Cyprus claim them and not recognize them as sovereign British land? Betseg (talk) 11:51, 15 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Does Ethiopian Airlines Flight 409 need to be on the "In the news" section for Cyprus? Its got almost nothing to do with Cyprus other than the fact that Cyprus Police Aviation helped in the search and rescue. Maybe in the "see also" section of Cyprus Police Aviation Unit seen as thats the glue here, the crash in and of itself happened in Lebanese waters and was an international flight with nothing to do with Cyprus. There are edits being made to include the flag of the unrecognised Turkish Republic of North Cyprus onto the Flag of Cyprus page.
There is a separate article for this flag and the inclusion of the content is being disputed. Can we please get a third opinion for whether this should be included or if information pertaining to the TRNC flag should remain within its own article 18.104.22.168 (talk) 14:24, 23 August 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Running from October 1 to 31, 2023, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Around the World in 31 Days! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 31 countries (or broader international articles) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.
