Rationale for category edit

The initial list on this page is the current membership of Category:Mathematician politicians. This was discussed at Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2019_May_23#Category:Mathematician_politicians with a consensus to convert it to a list. – Fayenatic London 20:14, 23 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Others edit

No doubt there are may more: for example in the 1980s Dr. Frank Garside, who the Garside element was named after, was Lord Mayor of Oxford while Dr. George Reid a Senior Wrangler was Mayor of Cambridge. Centuruies earlier, Isaac Newton was a British member of Parliament. 10:27, 22 August 2020 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C5:DB03:DB01:D9C5:3716:E9E1:3458 (talk)

Éamon de Valera edit

Does Éamon de Valera qualify? He studied mathematics, but if I understand correctly he only taught it in secondary schools. — Chrisahn (talk) 19:41, 28 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
