Error in "Adventure Through Inner Space" entry edit

"The ride's entryway featured a floor-to-ceiling spiral network of strings down which evenly spaced droplets of oil slowly ran..."

I quite clearly remember the spiral-strings piece was at the end of the ride---not the entry---as you entered Monsanto's corporate display area. Also, the "strings" were translucent nylon fishing line, and the "oil" was glycerin. (Oil might have acted as a solvent on the taut cords.) Such cord/glycerin devices were popular in novelty lamps at that time.

I worked at Disney themeparks (DL, WDW, TDL) from 1973 to 1986. For reasons beyond me, though (some political and/or control thing?), most of my recent Disney-related edits have been undone, so I'll leave it up to you if you wish to implement these. SomeAvailableName (06Sep09, 3:07 AM PST)

Main Street wharf edit

What about the wharf off of Main Street? May not count as an "attraction"

I don't ever remember seeing/hearing/reading about a wharf off of Main Street. Can you provide any more info on this? Or does anyone else know what's being referred to? Elf | Talk 03:54, 27 Jun 2005 (UTC)

1998-2000, Rocket Rods edit

I think this part has a bit too much opinion in it, cant you make it more objective

Done! And you're invited to edit Wikipedia yourself. Don't be shy! Disneyfile 19:38, 9 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Tomorrowland Terrace? edit

Or Buzz Lightyear show for that matter? Are shows included in this list? Bytebear 02:36, 20 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Parades edit

The head of the article states that this article does not include parades or character meets, yet there is an entire section of the article devoted to parades. Should we delete the parade section or should we leave it and delete the disclaimer in the header?

Aladdin's Oasis edit

Aladdin's Oasis no longer has a show, but I don't know what year it ended. Dcwaterboy (talk) 19:00, 26 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Circle-Vision / America the Beautiful edit

This article seems to indicate that "America the Beautiful" returned to Circle-Vision after 9/11 for a short period of time, however I was working in Tomorrowland quite regularly at the time and don't recall this at all. In fact, I remember being in that building a few times in between the time Rocket Rods moved out and Buzz Lightyear moved in and it wasn't in any condition for guests. Is there any kind of source verifying this? Could this have been something that was done at WDW instead?

Polar33 (talk) 06:53, 26 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I caught this a long time ago but didn't really think twice about it for some reason. I worked on Main Street at the time and I'm pretty sure I would have remembered them bringing back "America the Beautiful", as I'm sure it would have brought a lot of hype. The main Circle-Vision 360° article doesn't mention the alleged brief "America the Beautiful" revival at DL either. As I recall, this was about a year after the actual closure of Rocket Rods, and they were using the theatre area for meetings and other CM events. I'm going to go ahead and remove the references to the revival. It's entirely possible that someone got mixed up with WDW. —KuyaBriBriTalk 15:21, 26 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

MOS:BOLDFACE edit

This article is one giant MOS:BOLDFACE violation. It's also absurdly undersourced, but that's another issue. I question the benefit of listing the attractions by date, and think it might be more manageable to list by title, the way we might with a filmography. For example:

Change
1955–1957, Maxwell House Coffee House
1955–1962, Main Street Shooting Gallery
A shooting gallery themed to the 1920s
to
  • Maxwell House Coffee House (1955–1957)
  • Main Street Shooting Gallery (1955–1962): A shooting gallery themed to the 1920s

This will at least help remove some of the inappropriate boldface. I also think that people are more likely to be interested in finding attractions by name, rather than by year. Another way to go would be a sortable table, but those can get ugly, and prose tends to be the community's preference. Thoughts? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:49, 23 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • Agreed, boldface-gone-wild. Maybe someone who works on the Disney pages can remove the boldface circus, or possibly I'll get around to it at some point. Thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 19:41, 5 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
    • I found ten minutes to fix all this. epicgenius (talk) 21:01, 5 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
      • So all the boldfacing that's left is normal boldfacing? I think most of that is what we were alluding too, so it seems like a lot of it left. But thanks for the job "bold"ly done. 21:08, 5 February 2018 (UTC)
        • You're welcome. If you like, you can use the search and replace function to remove all boldfacing just by searching for all '''. Either way is fine with me. epicgenius (talk) 00:55, 6 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Mr.Maxwell ( of Hollywood and Disneyland ) edit

I think someone mis-interpreted the in-park, history of Disneyland film, that used to play in the Opera House. ( The one narrated by Steve Martin.). “Mr.Maxwell”, creator of ladies intimate wear, was known as “The Wizard of Bras” … but, he wasn’t an attraction there. It was just a nickname. ( Not to say he couldn’t have been there at times.) Just an editing suggestion. 75.106.32.81 (talk) 00:37, 26 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
