Clone Descriptions edit

I think some of the clone descriptions are starting to get unmanageably long. I think that sometime in the near future Sarah Manning, Alison Hendrix, Helena, Cosima Niehaus, Rachel Duncan, and Mark Rollins should be moved to their own individual articles just to allow for more separation/organization among the content; and then the description sections on this page should just contain a small overview/summary of the character instead of their entire backstory and journey throughout the show, especially once the 4th season starts and there will be that much more info to add and the descriptions will grow even larger than they already are. I second this, if that means anything. IJVin (talk) 06:28, 18 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
This whole article's structure seems to need some editing. As the show has ended by now and some of the descriptions within the Appearances section seem to be outdated/incomplete, I would suggest to leave the characterisations as one section, but combine the table of clones with the tables of appearances, main and recurring. Nonetheless, most charactersiations need editing. A structure by time could possibly help. Johannesbeere (talk) 11:15, 6 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
I removed all the subsections from the Clones section, as they had been tagged as excessively long and detailed four years ago. It cut down the article length by almost 60%. JIP | Talk 00:28, 5 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

clones have separate cast status? edit

In the table, what does it mean that some clones are marked as "main cast (credited)" while others are "recurring" or "guest"? How do you tell the difference? —Tamfang (talk) 18:55, 15 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

In terms of the show, only Sarah, Cosima, Alison, Helena, Rachel, Mark, Rudy, Miller, and Ira are considered the "main" clone characters, according to press releases and interviews with the creators. And other clones are "guest" or "recurring" characters.
I am not responsible for the edit that gave each character it's own section, but I supported it and kept it, because I think it is good to know the number of episodes that each of the clones appear in, and to have differentiation of Tatiana and Ari, especially when they are playing so many different characters. This way, instead of just having one row that shows how many episodes the actor appears in, it shows the status for ALL the characters they play.
Once that edit was made, I think it was more of a discretionary measure to add them into the specific categories of main, recurring, or guest. I think the easiest way to differentiate is according to screen time and according to information provided by the cast and creators, since each clone isn't specifically credited separately. One-off characters like Parsons, Tony, and Jennifer are obviously going to be just guest, and the rest that haven't been specifically referred to as main characters are differentiated the way all the other characters are, by episode count.
