Notes
edit- You may need to add a footnote explaining the difference between a graduate and an alumnus; that is not very clear right now. Dabomb87 (talk) 15:20, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- "The most recent alumnus to receive the Medal of Honor was Humbert Roque Versace (Class of 1959), whose family was presented his Medal of Honor in 2002. Paul William Bucha (Class of 1965) is the most recent alumnus who received the Medal of Honor." This confuses me. Is the difference that the first was presented posthumously, and the second wasn't? Dabomb87 (talk) 16:09, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- Versace was not approved til 2002, making him the most recent as far as actual date it was approved/awarded. Bucha is the most recent in terms of last to graduate from USMA to receive the MOH, though his was approved before Versace's. This is why I need wordsmith help. We could simpilfy the matter by only mentioning Tompkins and Versace. There are three different sequences that don't always match up: the order they were at the Academy, performed an action that got them the MOH, and the order their MOH was approved. — Rlevse • Talk • 16:15, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
