Untitled edit

Salah records are duplicated. Should be cleaned up after the final Champions League game to accurately reflect goals in a season, all comps and PL goals/PL goals in a 38 game season vs 42 for Rush — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:249:4100:4C30:1B0:FDDF:67C7:59E7 (talk) 21:56, 25 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Name edit

Should this article be renamed "...records and statistics"? Some of the items aren't strictly stats. ArtVandelay13 17:47, 2 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Probably. aLii 17:53, 2 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Autochthony agrees. 11 March 2009 2012 GMT.

Also - how quickly has one side beaten both Champions' League - do Uefa recognise the apostrophe? - (or European Cup) finalists? Liverpool, obviously, did that, beating Chelsea and Manchester United by 26th October 2008 - after those two met in the Final on 21 May 2008 - so within 5 months and 5 days - or 157 days. Has any club done that quicker? Autochthony asks 11 March 2009 2021 GMT.

Appearances and goals per season edit

I've noticed that these statistics aren't right for players whose careers spanned either world war. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Clear air turbulence (talkcontribs) 11:31, 20 December 2006 (UTC).Reply

Ephraim Longworth edit

This fella is listed as having the most appearances without a goal, but his own page says he scored five goals over the same number of games as the record. Am I missing something? Jamo777 (talk) 10:43, 31 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

That article is incorrect. LFCHistory, the definitive site for all things Liverpool, confirms he never scored during his time at the club. Here's the link for reference. Longworth. NapHit (talk) 12:43, 31 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Why a separate section for appearances by non-white players? edit

Why is there a separate section of appearances by non-white players? There already are appearances by non-english players. Surely there is no need to distinguish between white and non-white. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rorschak (talkcontribs) 21:48, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Transfer Fee edit

Javier Mascherano is second on the list with a transfer fee of £17m, before we bought him outright Rafa Benitez said that this £17m included the fee and Mascherano's wages for a 4 year contract. So this £17m isn't a true figure. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dotsey (talkcontribs) 21:15, 27 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fernando Torres is still going to be top of the list but his fee was not £26.5m. This was a mistake made somewhere along the lines by reporters told the amount of his fee in Euros. The true figure was far less, around £20m. And the BBC article referenced on the wiki page [1] actually states this figure (£20m). All things considered I'm going to change the entry to £20m, but thought I'd explain why first. SideIron (talk) 22:45, 28 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Merge proposal edit

I propose that Liverpool F.C. transfers be merged into List of Liverpool F.C. statistics and records. The latter article already contains info on Liverpool's transfer record, so the only thing to be added from the former would be the progression of the transfer record. However, that item would need to be referenced first. – PeeJay 11:55, 24 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Support Unnecessary sub-article; don't know why its creator didn't add the progression tables to the stats-and-records page in the first place, rather than c&p-ing the transfer-record ones across. Adding the progession tables wouldn't make the main page excessively large, and would be appropriate. Though they'd need bringing up to date as well as referencing, at the moment they only go up to £37,500 paid and £55,000 received... cheers, Struway2 (talk) 13:46, 24 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Support Agree with Struway the article is unnecessary NapHit (talk) 21:35, 24 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Number of fan deaths edit

Liverpool fans seem to be involved in a number of stadium deaths, I propose a top 10 fan deaths. Could include Hillsborough and Heysel — Preceding unsigned comment added by 27.32.135.162 (talk) 02:06, 15 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Record Attendance edit

The listing for record attendance is incorrect, namely the statement that the 94,000 at the MCG was a record attendance. This was not a home match for Liverpool so the "record" must refer to the highest attendance at any Liverpool game. If that is the intent then the 1977 FA Cup Final between Liverpool and Manchester United was watched by over 99,000, there may have been other games in which Liverpool played with higher attendances.203.38.71.220 (talk) 22:26, 24 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Salah transfer fee edit

Accourding to BBC, SkySports and The Independent, The fee is £34m. The official AS Roma site states the fee in euros (€42m = £36.4m). I think sources using pounds should be used for consistency reasons with the other deals and also I think a source using euros should not be used if the article is using the amount in pounds because it eventually will lose its reliability over time due to exchange rate.--MR.HJH (talk) 23:57, 30 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Players' Nationalities edit

I know you're not supposed to "use flags decoratively", but it might be worth adding the players' nationalities in the appearances and goalscorers sections as pretty much every other table of this type I have seen includes the nationalities of the players and considering people are going to continue to add them anyway.

MOS:FLAG is clear we're not to use flags decoratively. Adding them in on the basis people are going to add them anyway isn't justification for adding them. If people want to know the nationalities of the players, they can click through to the respective article. NapHit (talk) 09:57, 28 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
